Did you know that "The Jungle Cruise" and "The Great Movie Ride" share a prop?
You've probably seen the back end of a wrecked aircraft while on "The Jungle Cruise", and you've almost definitely seen the front half of an airplane in the Casablanca scene of "The Great Movie Ride". In actuality, they are two halves of the same airplane!
This interesting tidbit was taken from The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World written by Susan Veness. I definitely recommend this book. It has some great information!

I've read that before! I love that Disney can recycle props and give them a whole new life in the process!
ReplyDeleteIt really is neat how they do that!
DeleteI love that they put both halves of the plane to good use! I also read The Hidden Magic Of Walt Disney World a while ago. It's a great book!
ReplyDeleteUsually the tour guide in the Great Movie Ride announces something about the other half of that plane. :) I love how Disney makes use of things like that! (I'll be using that book for all my trivia tidbits in the month of July)
ReplyDeleteInteresting, I don't think I've ever had a guide mention it in all the times I've ridden it. Then again, maybe I missed them saying it because I was busy searching for hidden Mickeys!
